Marion Military Successfully Concludes Search with Appointment of Ullmann

Marion Military Institute has appointed Lt. Col Timothy T. Ullmann, USAF (ret) as the Chief Instructional Officer.  Ullmann brings 26 years of active duty military service and more than seven years of academic program oversight in higher education.

Since 2012, Ullmann has served as the Director of Professional Development for Harbert College of Business at Auburn University, Alabama. He is responsible for providing professional development skills and abilities for 4,000 undergraduate and graduate students for successful entry into the workforce.

Additionally, he has been an Independent Consultant and Associate with PBC Professional Consultants since 1998. His clients range from multinational and national corporations, philanthropic organizations, and local businesses, to school districts, colleges, and universities. He developed customer-focused curriculum for professional development, leadership development, strategic planning, organizational management, and public relations.

Over the course of his 26-year military career, he completed five combat tours between Iraq and Afghanistan. Among his assignments, he served three years as Associate Director, Research and Development Division, and a year as Director, Policy, Guidance, and Curriculum Division, at the USAF Air University at Maxwell AFB in Alabama. He retired in 2012 as Wing Chaplain (Commander), Programs and Operations, at Edwards AFB in California.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the University of Colorado in Boulder, a Master of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in Missouri, a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management (summa cum laude) from George Washington University, and a Master of Science degree in Operational Science from the Air Command and Staff College in Alabama.
