Hall to join the University of West Florida as the Academic Administrator in the Center for Cybersecurity

The University of West Florida as selected Gregory Hall, Ph.D., to serve as the Academic Administrator (research-focuses) in the Center for Cybersecurity. He will join the UWF center in August 2018.

Dr. Hall currently is the Security Manager for Accenture Federal Services in San Antonio. Prior to the company being acquired by Endgame, Dr. Hall was a Senior Software Engineer with Endgame, where he worked on the Air Force Malware Lab (AFMAL) team. Prior to joining Endgame in 2015, he held significant technology roles in areas of cyber operations at Harris Government Communications Systems; Endeavor Systems, Inc.; and ManTech International Corporation, all in San Antonio, Texas.

In 1997, after receiving his Ph.D. degree, he joined the faculty of Texas State University in San Marcos, where he was an Assistant Professor for nine years. In addition to teaching graduate and undergraduate software engineering courses, he conducted research in the areas of Software Engineering, Software Quality Assurance, Testing, Digital Forensics, and Reverse Engineering.

After receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems, he continued his studies at the University of West Florida, earning a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering. His Ph.D. degree in Computer Science is from the University of Idaho at Moscow.
