Augusta University selects Rallapalli to join Cybersecurity Center

Augusta University has selected Murthy V. Rallapalli, Ph.D., CISSP, to serve in its Cybersecurity Center. Currently, Dr. Rallapalli teaches big data and analytics courses in the J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University in Atlanta. Additionally, he teaches cybersecurity and related courses at Colorado State University-Global Campus and Stevens Institute of Technology School of Systems Engineering in New Jersey.

His industry experience includes more than 23 years with IBM and Ernst & Young in information security and big data, working with clients worldwide in designing solutions and enabling architects in various technology areas, such as cloud computing, cloud security, big data, and information security. He has presented seminars at the National Security Agency in the United States and United Kingdom in the area of security in service oriented architectures.

Dr. Rallapalli earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Osmania University in India and Master of Science degree in Networking from Regis University in Colorado. He received his Ph.D. degree in Systems Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey.

He holds a cybersecurity certificate from Harvard University in Massachusetts and is a Certified Information Systems and Security Professional (CISSP) and a Senior Certified IT Architect (IBM). In 2013, he was awarded a Fulbright specialist scholarship, by the U.S. State Department to design and deliver the content for Reykjavik University in Iceland in the area of Cloud Computing for their graduate and undergraduate students.
