Frank Bush

Frank Bush is a Senior Vice President with Myers McRae. He has more than 35 years of leadership experience in college advancement, with an emphasis on fundraising. He will join the firm full-time on January 1, 2011.

As Executive Vice President for Institutional Advancement at Coker College in Hartsville, S.C., he has completed three capital campaigns, all exceeding their goals and totaling $51.9 million. The planned giving program he established now holds between $7 to $10 million in trusts and/or wills. He has helped grow the college’s endowment from $9 million to more than $42 million. Under his leadership in Advancement, alumni participation in gifts to the college increased from 17 percent to 52 percent.
A former Director of Admissions at Coker, he served on the administrative team that helped guide the college’s student enrollment growth from 640 in 1974 to an all-time high of 1,150 in 2005, the same year the institution was ranked a Top 10 Regional Liberal Arts College by U.S. News & World Report. In addition to his admission work at Coker, he directed admissions at the College of Charleston and Limestone College in South Carolina.
 
Actively involved in the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) at the regional, national and international levels, Mr. Bush has served in numerous leadership positions. He has been a member of the CASE District III Board of Directors for the past 18 years and the CASE International Board of Trustees for the past four years. CASE III presented him with its prestigious Outstanding Service Award in recognition of his leadership and professional contributions to the organization and to higher education.
 
A graduate of Limestone College, he is active in the Hartsville community. He has served on the Board of Directors of the local YMCA, Kalmia Gardens, Kiwanis Club, Chamber of Commerce, and United Way. In 1999, he was named Hartsville Citizen of the Year.
