Ingle Serves as Interim Officer at Young Harris College
Young Harris, GA – Myers McRae has assisted Young Harris College in placing Ronald R. Ingle, Ph.D., in the interim position of Executive Vice President and Provost. A former university president, Dr. Ingle is a Senior Consultant with Myers McRae.
Myers McRae is assisting Young Harris College in the executive search for an Executive Vice President and Provost.
Dr. Ingle brings a wealth of executive administrative experience to the Young Harris position. He served as President of Coastal Carolina University for 14 years. During his tenure, enrollment grew to more than 8,000 students. The endowment increased from $3.4 to approximately $13 million, and the assets of the institution’s foundation grew to $16 million.
He has served the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB), was elected to the Board of the American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), and served on the Commission of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
Dr. Ingle has administrative experiences in both two-year and four-year colleges, including service as a senior administrator at South Georgia College and Kennesaw College. He has also served as an administrator and faculty member at the University of South Carolina and Coastal Carolina University.
A native of Moncks Corner, S.C., Dr. Ingle earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Wofford College and a master’s degree in higher education administration from Florida State University. After service as a United States Army officer, he earned a Ph.D. in psychology from Ohio State University.
